Help The 2011 Conference By Being A Volunteer
The M.A.L.I. Woman’s Film & Performance Arts Conference relies on the hard work and dedication of volunteers to survive. Volunteering is an exciting chance to submerse yourself in a community full of artists, programmers and activists. During the conference and the month leading up to it, plenty of opportunities exist to get involved and play a key role in the success of the conference. All types of skills are appreciated and utilized.

Volunteer Benefits:
Besides being emerged in a community of local and international filmmakers, artists, curators and more, M.A.L.I. Woman’s Film & Performance Arts Conference offers the following benefits to the 2011 volunteers:
For every shift worked (4 hours), you will receive a single screening/ or music ticket. This ticket will give you free access to one film or performance during the conference. It does NOT include special programs. For those housing special guests, you will receive a VIP Pass for letting a guest stay with you. You will also receive a single screening/ or music ticket. for your guest’s screening. You may exchange six (6) single screening/ or music ticket for a choice of one (1) M.A.L.I. Women’s Film & Performance Arts Conference t-shirt or one (1) special events ticket. Single screening / or music ticket will be handed out at the end of each shift by the Box Office Manager. For those with guests staying with them, your single screening / or music ticket will be available at the M.A.L.I. Headquarters. You can exchange tickets for t-shirts or special events tickets at the HQ as well. By volunteering for the conference, you will also receive the sincere gratitude of the conference staff and guests!

This is a non- profit event supported by Blowin’ Up A Spot! Community Studio, funded in part by the Media Arts & Literacy Institute and the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division by a grant made possible from the Texas Commission on the Arts. Efforts from this event will benefit the Media Arts & Literacy Institute programming for at risk teen girls and women in the media arts.
